Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Gi Group. As a key member of our Operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring equipment uptime through effective planned maintenance activities. This role also involves some facilities management responsibilities, such as repairs, refurbishments, and installations, as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Comply with Health & Safety and Environmental policies.
  • Advanced understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques.
  • Well-organized and able to prioritize tasks with excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Preventive and reactive maintenance requirements.
  • Contractor control and issuing of work permits.
  • Use problem-solving knowledge to effectively participate in 8D's and RCPS activities to address unplanned downtime issues and prevent re-occurrence.
  • Support installation projects for new equipment.
  • Use and suggest improvements for Maximo (CMMS) to manage and enhance various planned maintenance activities.
  • Fault finding electrical control units.
  • Managing and maintaining Inventory.
  • Fault finding in hydraulic/pneumatic test rigs & circuits.
Desirable Experience:
  • Relevant Engineering qualification (electrical).
  • Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems knowledge.
  • Electrical control systems.
  • 3 Phase.
  • Motor/pump.
  • PLC integration.
  • Full UK driving license.
