About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Public Health Consultant to join our team at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Population Health Management Hub, you will play a critical role in driving population health transformation and improving health outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of innovative population health and health equity programmes
  • Collaborate with senior clinicians, managers, and local public health teams to advance existing services and develop new care models
  • Advise on health policy and strategy, ensuring alignment with national and local priorities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including commissioners, patient/public involvement groups, and local authorities
  • Contribute to the design and delivery of population health-based clinical services, ensuring a robust clinical-academic approach
  • Support the Deputy Chief Medical Officer (Healthcare Public Health) in providing population health clinical expertise to the CMO and Trust leadership

Requirements

  • MBBS or equivalent qualification
  • Inclusion in the GMC Full and Specialist Register or UKPHR for Public Health Specialists
  • Experience of leading population health improvement within a healthcare provider organisation
  • Strong understanding of health policy, epidemiology, and statistics, with the ability to apply this knowledge to inform clinical practice
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to motivate organisations to contribute to improving public health and wellbeing
