Precision Mechanical Engineer

Up to £17.71 per hour negotiable, plus extensive overtime at 1.5 times the rate, progression opportunities, training, pension, and a half-day Friday.
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter with experience in engineering principles to join our innovative and highly skilled team. As a leader in designing and fabricating unique, bespoke machinery and providing innovative engineering solutions, we cater to diverse clients ranging from small businesses to multinational corporations and governments.
The Role:- Examine drawings and specifications to determine the most suitable method and sequence of operations.
- Mark out reference points using precision measuring instruments.
- Operate hand and machine tools to shape workpieces to specifications and verify accuracy.
- Excellent knowledge of engineering practices and procedures, including grinding.
- Excellent ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Maintain effective communication with clients and engineering teams.
- Monday to Thursday, 7:30 finish.
- Experienced mechanical fitter from an engineering or manufacturing background.
- Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical systems is beneficial.
- Must be commutable to Chorley.
