Job Summary:
Central Employment Agency (North East) Limited is seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join their team at their Cramlington site. As a key member of the logistics and transportation team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of a mixed fleet of vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform fault diagnostics, servicing, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of heavy vehicles
- Conduct MOT prep and presentation, as well as full vehicle overhauls, including engine and gearbox repairs
- Work independently, using your own initiative, to meet tight deadlines
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2+ years post-qualification experience in heavy vehicle maintenance and repairs
- Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance/Repairs qualification or time-served experience
- Class 1 HGV Licence (desirable)
Benefits:
- Competitive salary of £41,418 per annum
- Overtime rates starting at £23.01 hourly
- First-time MOT pass bonus scheme, securing an extra £60.00 per month
- Standby callout fee of £60.00 plus minimum 2 hours overtime
- 28 days annual leave per year, including public holidays
- NEST pension scheme and Death in Service Benefit schemes
Working Hours:
- 45-hour weekly two-shift pattern
- Shifts: 07:00 hours to 16:30 hours (week 1) and 09:30 hours to 19:00 hours + Saturday morning (week 2)
