Job Title: Capacity and Utilisation Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Capacity and Utilisation Manager to join our team at Spire Healthcare Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for maximising the utilisation and allocation of theatre and outpatient clinic sessions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Communicate available capacity to medical staff to minimise downtime
  • Build effective partnerships with secretaries and consultants to increase engagement and deliver targets
  • Provide a single point of contact for theatre lists and session allocation
  • Work with clinical areas to ensure resources are available to support assigned cases
  • Support utilisation tools and reports to inform activity and attend utilisation meetings
  • Ensure anaesthetic coverage for lists and liaise with consultants to build long-term solutions
  • Maximise hospital capacity to reduce time from first referral to treatment
Requirements:
  • Strong communication and operational skills
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and build relationships
  • Previous experience in healthcare or a customer-orientated organisation
  • Demonstrable problem-solving and prioritisation skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritise and manage workload
  • Hunger for increasing patient throughput
  • Persuasiveness and creative thinking
Qualifications and Training:
  • English Language and Mathematics GCSE or equivalent qualification
  • Ability to process data effectively and accurately
  • Methodical and systematic approach
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent IT literacy, including Spire's Patient Admin System and Excel
