Behaviour Mentor Opportunity

We are seeking two full-time Behaviour Mentors to join our team in Redruth. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work with pupils who have had difficulty thriving in mainstream secondary and special schools or are returning from out of County placements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high levels of support to pupils, often including one-to-one support and bespoke timetables following thematic learning experiences.
  • Design and deliver personalised learning in and out of the classroom to engage students, build resilience, and provide a foundation for rapid academic progress.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement effective behaviour management strategies.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs) and behaviour plans.
Requirements:
  • A current DBS on the update service or willingness to take one.
  • Confidence working within small groups and 1:1/2:1 settings.
  • A passion for working with children and young people in SEN settings.
  • Relevant experience working with children or people with special educational needs.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • A minimum of Level 2 qualification or equivalent.
