Apprentice Building Surveyor

Morrison Energy Services is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our Commercial Team in Scotland. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for valuing works using a Schedule of Rates and reconciling costs for a given district and team level.
Key Responsibilities- Administer respective entitlements and obligations under main contracts and sub-contracts
- Manage contract records and assist in sub-contract payments
- Negotiate subcontract variations and monitor contra-charge accounts
- Collate accurate information for monthly cost/value reconciliations and contract reviews
- Audit and reconcile measurements against systemised actuals
- Generate weekly cost/value reports and target cost agreements
- Produce financial and statistical reports as required
- Perform any reasonable task requested by line managers
- Collaborate with operational and support staff to manage projects
We are looking for a candidate with significant experience in a similar role, preferably degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a relevant business discipline. Non-degree holders with extensive experience and demonstrable success are also encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, numeracy skills, and high-level knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
