Hobson Prior is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team on a 6-month contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and executing maintenance tasks, overseeing small construction projects, and ensuring our site meets high standards. You will also be responsible for managing third-party contractors to ensure all work is done safely and efficiently.

Please note that to be considered for this role, you must have the right to work in this location.

This is a 6-month contract opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute maintenance tasks to prevent and fix issues.
  • Oversee small construction projects to maintain our site's condition.
  • Ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Manage third-party contractors, inspecting their work before and after completion.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in maintaining buildings, including health and safety.
  • Knowledge of health and safety in building and engineering.
  • Familiarity with Building Management Systems and current technology.
  • Good understanding of building services.
  • Ability to plan and execute site projects.
  • Understanding of utility services supply, reporting, and costing.
  • Ability to follow complex instructions and solve problems quickly.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on analysis and detail.
  • Strong people skills and professionalism.
  • Flexibility and a positive attitude.
  • Training in electrical, mechanical, and/or air conditioning.
