About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Paralegal to join our Real Estate team at Shoosmiths. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our lawyers and clients in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a high volume of client files, including Landlord and Tenant related matters, straightforward acquisitions, disposals, and estate management work.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and external solicitors to provide advice, negotiate transactions, and deal with queries.
  • Assist on large portfolio transactions, prepare title packs, disclosure bundles, and set up and upload information into data rooms.
  • Complete property reports and schedules.
  • Perform various other tasks as required.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a real estate paralegal or similar experience gained within another transactional practice area.
  • Law Degree, LPC, or ILEX.
  • Excellent client care and communication skills, with a friendly and solutions-driven approach.
  • Self-confidence, initiative, and the ability to grasp things quickly and easily.
  • Enthusiasm and drive with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Proficient in IT.
  • High levels of accuracy and exceptional attention to detail, with a methodical and organized approach.
  • Flexibility in adapting to change, new practices.
  • Remaining calm under pressure.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete work effectively to ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Ability to integrate and work within a team as well as taking responsibility for your own matters.
