We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning Engineer to join our team in London, working on the development of cutting-edge video quality analysis systems for Prime Video.
As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying machine learning models that can detect video defects automatically and instantly at any point in the video pipeline.
You will work closely with our team of experts in computer vision, machine learning, and software development to create novel algorithms that can assess the presence of defects and overall video quality.
Our team is based in Amazon's engineering centre in London and consists of engineers with a variety of backgrounds, from seasoned Amazonians to newly hired; a mix of applied scientists, machine learning engineers, AWS experts and generalists, but all of us are learning and growing.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop machine learning models that can detect video defects with high accuracy and low latency
- Collaborate with our team to create novel algorithms that can assess video quality and detect defects
- Work closely with other Prime Video engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of our systems
- Develop and maintain high-quality software code that meets Amazon's standards for reliability, scalability, and maintainability
- Master's degree in Machine Learning, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Experience contributing to the architecture and design of new and current systems
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
- Experience in professional, non-internship software development
