Opportunity Overview

We are seeking a skilled workshop and field service engineer to join our dynamic Positioning Team. You will thrive in a collaborative environment while also demonstrating the ability to work autonomously when necessary. Flexibility and a willingness to assist are essential to ensure the seamless operation of our fleet.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver service support for Company Operated Vessels.
  • Adhere to maintenance schedules and conduct field-based troubleshooting and board-level diagnostics.
  • Coordinate with internal and external suppliers and contractors.
  • Install equipment on vessels and ensure integration with existing systems.
  • Prepare, test, and package equipment prior to dispatch.
  • Offer remote assistance to vessels facing technical challenges, including potential out-of-hours support.
  • Test and repair electronic equipment.
  • Manage asset movement and prepare shipping documentation.
Qualifications:

To excel as a Marine Electronics Engineer, you should possess:

  • HNC or equivalent qualification/experience in electronics or electrical engineering.
  • Expertise in installing marine electronic systems such as VHF, HF, AIS, Radar, telemetry, computer systems, GPS, etc.
  • A high level of computer and IT proficiency.
  • Prior experience in the oil and gas sector.
