Maths Teacher Opportunity

Step Teachers is working with a College in the Okehampton area to find a dedicated and passionate Maths Teacher for a 1 year Maternity Cover Long-Term Supply role. This school serves students aged 11-19 and believes in identifying and providing the assistance each learner needs to maximise their achievements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver engaging and effective Mathematics lessons to students across various year groups.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with the UK Mathematics curriculum.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support academic achievement.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student participation and confidence in Maths.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and share best practices across the Maths department.
Requirements:
  • Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification.
  • A degree in Mathematics or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Maths Teacher at the Secondary School level.
  • Strong knowledge of the Mathematics curriculum and effective teaching methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
