Tax Risk and Governance Manager

Pro-Tax is seeking a highly skilled Tax Risk and Governance Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Tax Risk team, you will play a critical role in helping our clients meet their tax obligations and optimize their tax performance.

About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned professional with a strong background in tax risk management and governance. You will be responsible for providing expert advice to our clients on tax risk and governance matters, including tax process strategy, tax control frameworks, and senior accounting officer (SAO) and corporate criminal offences (CCO) compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement tax risk management strategies for our clients, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
  2. Provide expert advice on tax governance and risk management, including tax process strategy and tax control frameworks.
  3. Work closely with our clients to understand their business needs and develop tailored tax solutions.
  4. Lead on projects and produce high-quality reports, including tax risk assessments and governance reviews.
  5. Collaborate with our team to identify business development opportunities and contribute to the growth of our tax practice.

Requirements

  • Education to degree level, and/or CTA and/or ACA qualified or equivalent.
  • Experience of tax risk work, including tax process strategy, tax control frameworks, SAO, and CCO.
  • Strong presentation style and confidence in hosting workshops, training sessions, and webinars.
  • Excellent communication skills to participate in the management of the group, contact with clients, and to recognize business development opportunities.
