About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hand Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team at Nuffield Health Chichester Hospital. As a key member of our physiotherapy department, you will play a vital role in helping our patients recover from hand injuries and conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a complex clinical caseload of hand therapy patients referred from Consultants, GP's, PMI's or self referrals, as well as post-operative patients.
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team including nurses, AHP's and consultants, providing high-quality, effective clinical care.
  • Liaise closely with our orthopaedic hand surgeons, running clinics alongside them.
  • Exercise professional autonomy and integrity, with excellent communication skills and participate in regular supervision sessions.
Requirements
  • BSc in Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy or equivalent, with registration with the Health and Care Professions Council.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience working in the field of hand therapy, with experience of leading a service desirable.
  • Excellent hand therapy and splinting skills, with the ability to demonstrate evidence of further professional development.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to engage effectively with the general public and other healthcare professionals.
