Job Title: Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at Bar Hill Primary School. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of our students in the lower Key Stage 2 team.

About the Role

This is a varied and rewarding role that requires consistency and resourcefulness. You will work closely with teachers to support the delivery of lessons, prepare teaching resources, and assist with midday supervision. A Level 3 Teaching Assistant role may also involve some teaching responsibility, such as covering for the class teacher on occasions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting teachers in the delivery of lessons and activities
  • Preparing teaching resources and materials
  • Assisting with midday supervision and maintaining a safe and supportive environment
  • Working with students to promote their learning and development
  • Collaborating with teachers to identify and address individual student needs
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

GCSE English and Mathematics Grade C (4/5) or above or equivalentExperience of supporting children in Key Stages One or TwoOutstanding communication skills and the ability to work well in a teamAn understanding of child protection and safeguarding issuesWhat We Offer
