Sacco Mann is seeking a Senior Catastrophic Injury Legal Advisor (NQ to 5 PQE) to become a part of a prominent catastrophic injury division. This position is ideal for a legal professional with experience in managing catastrophic injury claims, particularly those with a value ranging from £300k to over £1 million.
Our organization is a distinguished national law firm, operating multiple offices throughout the UK. The team represents a diverse array of insurer clients in personal injury matters that exceed £1 million in value. Due to an increase in workload, we are looking to add a skilled Legal Advisor to assist a lead Solicitor with a portfolio of catastrophic injury cases, including brain and spinal injuries as well as amputation claims.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of catastrophic injury claims, focusing on cases valued at £1 million and above, including brain and spinal injuries and amputations.
- Serve as the primary contact for client inquiries, providing ongoing legal guidance.
- Evaluate liability evidence and identify any deficiencies.
- Conduct witness interviews and prepare statements.
- Maintain communication with clients and third parties throughout the case lifecycle.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings and applications.
- Engage counsel and participate in conferences.
- Prepare cases for trial proceedings.
- Negotiate settlements effectively.
Candidate Requirements:
- A qualified Solicitor with ideally 1-5 years of post-qualification experience, although newly qualified candidates with relevant catastrophic injury experience will also be considered.
- Possess strong technical skills and a comprehensive understanding of applicable case law and legal procedures.
- Exhibit clear and effective communication abilities, coupled with excellent negotiation skills.
Compensation: Salary up to £40,000, commensurate with experience, with potential for increases for exceptional candidates.
