Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Education Support Professional to join our team at New Directions Holding. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and social development of pupils in a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the educational and social development of pupils under the direction and guidance of the head teacher, ALNCO, and class teachers.
- Use ICT skills to advance pupils' learning and promote engagement in educational activities.
- Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable them to fully participate in activities and reach their full potential.
- Assist class teachers with maintaining student records and supporting the development of individualized learning plans.
- Support students with emotional or behavioral problems and help develop their social skills to promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Promote, support, and facilitate inclusion by encouraging participation of all pupils in learning and extracurricular activities.
- Utilize active listening skills to effectively communicate with students, teachers, and other staff members.
Requirements:
- GCSE or equivalent level, including at least a Grade 4 (previously Grade C) in English and Maths.
- First-aid training or willingness to complete it.
- Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) qualification or equivalent experience.
- Experience working in a school environment or other educational settings.
- Experience planning and delivering learning activities that promote engagement and academic achievement.
- Ability to work effectively with children and young people, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
