Financial Analyst Opportunity

International Manufacturing Company | £35-40,000

Savant Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join the central finance function of a dynamic International Manufacturing Company. The role requires a hybrid work arrangement, with 2 days spent in the office and the remainder of the time worked from home. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating month-end accounting activities across the group function.
  • Posting month-end journals, including accruals and prepayments.
  • Managing a section of the Profit and Loss statement, ensuring consistent numbers are reported accurately.
  • Preparing balance sheet schedules and analyzing key financial metrics.
  • Reconciling relevant balance sheet accounts and bank statements.
  • Performing inter-company reconciliations.
  • Ensuring month-end statutory compliance.
  • Conducting spend analysis for department heads.
  • Assisting with month-end packs for each unit and division.
  • Calculating monthly commissions for sales agents.
  • Supporting transactional processing, including purchase ledger and credit control.
  • Performing other duties as required by the Senior Finance team.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A strong understanding of month-end accounts, including Profit and Loss statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and journals.
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting and VAT processes, procedures, and regulations.
  • Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to work with complex data from multiple platforms.
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and with initiative.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
