Position Overview

Qualifications
The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:
- Relevant teaching certification
- Full registration with the General Teaching Council (Scotland) in the relevant subject area, or eligibility for such registration
- Membership in the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme
Key Responsibilities
The individual in this role is expected to demonstrate the following competencies:
- Capability to instruct the complete curriculum in the designated subject area and contribute to curriculum development
- Proficiency in managing and organizing classroom activities through effective planning and preparation for teaching and learning
- Ability to evaluate, document, and communicate student progress to inform diverse teaching and learning strategies
- Skill in preparing students for assessments and qualifications, and assisting with administrative tasks as necessary
- Commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and addressing the broader needs of the institution
- Engagement in institutional and council planning and enhancement initiatives
- Dedication to maintaining and advancing personal knowledge and skills while supporting the professional growth of colleagues, including probationary and student educators
