Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Recovery Healthcare Assistant to join our Patient Recovery team at our Surgical centre in Devizes. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring a smooth patient journey by following patient pathways and monitoring recovery after procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure patient fitness for surgery through effective questioning and cross-referencing of patient pathways.
  • Assist theatre teams in preparing patients for treatment, including administering pre-operative medication and ensuring nil by mouth periods are adhered to.
  • Monitor patient recovery, checking vital signs and patient awareness, and providing support as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with theatre staff, consultants, nurses, and other administration staff to ensure seamless patient care.

Requirements

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours and shifts.
  • Strong IT skills and ability to learn new systems quickly.
