We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Recovery Healthcare Assistant to join our Patient Recovery team at our Surgical Centre in Devizes.

This is a rewarding role where you will play a vital part in ensuring a smooth patient journey by following their pathway and monitoring their recovery after procedure.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure patient fitness for surgery through effective questioning and cross-referencing of the Patient Pathway.
  • Assist theatre team members in preparing patients for treatment, including administering pre-operative medication and ensuring nil by mouth periods are adhered to.
  • Monitor patient recovery, checking vital signs and awareness, and providing support as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with theatre staff, consultants, nurses, and other administration staff to ensure seamless patient care.

About the Role:

This is an ideal opportunity for those with experience in patient recovery or a similar role, where you will be working with patients to ensure their comfort and well-being throughout the surgical process.

You will be working 3 days per week, with variable days from week to week, and shifts from 07:00 to 16:30.
