We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 6 nurse to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team as a Regional Lead. Key Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate the work of the NICU team, ensuring a high standard of care is maintained.
- Support and educate new and junior members of the nursing team, helping them to develop into QIS nurses.
- Act as a role model, promoting an environment conducive to the needs of patients and their families.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and leadership skills, working closely with the Sister in charge of the unit.
- Undertake all aspects of nursing care required within the speciality, including advanced clinical skills.
- Lead and support staff and student nurses in the absence of more senior nursing grades.
- Actively promote innovative and evidence-based nursing practice.
