iO Associates - UK/EU is seeking a skilled Outfit Detail Design Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. The successful candidate will work with a client in the Shipbuilding industry, collaborating with a team of Engineers to create detailed 2D design layouts and arrangements.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement detailed 2D design layouts and arrangements, taking into account client requirements and safety regulations.
- Conduct vessel reviews and requisition materials for Bills of Materials (BoMs).
- Utilize AutoCAD (or similar design software) and Microsoft Office to create and manage design documents.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in drawing office or detail design, preferably within the commercial shipbuilding industry.
- Proficient use of AutoCAD (or similar design software) and Microsoft Office.
- Good understanding of ship outfitting requirements.
- HVAC and structural knowledge is an advantage.
The contract is expected to last for 6 months, with the possibility of extension. The hourly rate is between £40-45 per hour, and the work will be conducted on-site in the client's Glasgow office.
