Psychology Graduate Autism Support Specialist

Prospero Teaching is seeking a strong and ambitious specialist Psychology graduate to work as a Teaching Assistant in a SEN school in Ashton. We are looking for enthusiastic graduates with an interest in a career in teaching or education psychology who may have some previous experience in supporting those with learning difficulties, although this is not essential.
Job Summary:The role involves working with groups of children with varying learning ability and who may have special educational needs, who need additional support. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for providing support to children with SEN, experience of supporting pupils, and the ability to build rapport with the children, supporting their social and behavioural needs, and acting as a mentor.
Key Responsibilities:- Working with and providing support to children with SEN (Special Educational Needs)
- Experience of supporting pupils
- The ability to build rapport with the children, supporting their social and behavioural needs, and acting as a mentor
- DBS (clean and relevant) - Can be obtained through Prospero Teaching
- Safeguarding certificate
- A committed and enthusiastic attitude to work
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to form new relationships
- Previous experience working in primary schools
