Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Deputy Manager at BMC - Medway. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the management of our residential childcare setting, ensuring the highest standards of care and support for our young people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the management of the residential childcare setting, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and support to our young people.
  • Lead and motivate a team of staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they are equipped to provide excellent care and support.
  • Develop and implement care plans, ensuring the needs of our young people are met and their outcomes are improved.
  • Work closely with other teams, including education and therapy, to ensure a holistic approach to supporting our young people.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures, ensuring they are aligned with best practice and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience of working in a residential childcare setting, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality care and support.
  • Working knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Children's Act and Quality Care Standards.
  • Experience of leading and motivating teams, with a proven ability to develop and implement effective care plans.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other teams, including education and therapy.
