End-of-Life Care Support Worker

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Marie Curie UK. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to patients with terminal illnesses and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver personalized care and support to patients in their own homes, focusing on their physical, emotional, and social needs.
- Monitor symptoms, assist with medications, and maintain accurate records to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and their families, promoting dignity and respect throughout the care journey.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in palliative care.
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent experience in End-of-Life Care.
- Current valid driving license and use of a car insured for business use.
- Relevant experience in Palliative Care is desirable.
- Emotional strength and ability to work independently, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work nights and flexible hours, with access to a computer and internet for mandatory training.
