As a Section Engineer, you will play a critical role in the construction of a new HVDC converter station, a key component of the UK's largest electricity transmission project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise site engineering staff to ensure effective planning and delivery of the project.
  • Monitor and record progress against the agreed programme and construction methods.
  • Ensure that drawings and specification documents contain sufficient and accurate information for construction.
  • Communicate effectively with site management, technical specialists, and commercial staff to drive quality delivery.
  • Conduct daily diary records and ensure they are maintained by others under your supervision.
  • Monitor and report progress against 'look ahead' programmes.
  • Ensure written risk assessments and activity plans/method statements are in place prior to works commencing.
  • Verify testing and sampling of materials as required by the specification.
  • Maintain work records in line with project requirements.
  • Contribute to the monthly and quarterly commercial forecast and reporting for your section of works.
