Nottingham, Nottingham, United Kingdom Turning Point Full time
Job OverviewIntroduction

At Turning Point, we are dedicated to assisting individuals throughout the UK facing mental health challenges. As a Recovery Worker, you will play a crucial role in enhancing their lives by collaborating closely with them to help realize their potential. Our organization operates several established services within Nottingham.

Our newly launched supported living initiative in Sherwood is designed to assist individuals who may have co-occurring disorders, legal constraints, a background of substance use, and intricate support requirements.

With a genuine passion for helping others, you will empower individuals to acquire the skills necessary for independent living. Emphasizing key working, you will manage a small caseload flexibly while contributing to the daily operations of the service.

The service functions around the clock, with a schedule that includes day, evening, and waking night shifts, along with alternate weekends.

Key Responsibilities

By setting a high standard for person-centered support, you will deliver a variety of recovery-oriented assistance through key working sessions. Your efforts will significantly impact the lives of individuals as you enable them to develop new skills and discover ways to foster their long-term recovery.

As a Recovery Worker, you will guide individuals on their journey by creating personalized support and risk management plans. Ultimately, your role will be vital in helping them acquire skills and coping mechanisms while promoting positive change and independence.

Ideal Candidate Profile

A relevant qualification is advantageous but not mandatory. We seek candidates with experience in the mental health field and a solid understanding of the recovery model, along with a solution-oriented mindset and a person-centered approach.

You should be comfortable taking initiative and working collaboratively within a team, thriving in a fast-paced environment while adapting to challenging circumstances. A genuine interest in engaging with individuals with diverse needs, coupled with a deep sense of empathy, understanding, and patience, is essential.
