Responsibilities- Acquire used vehicles of suitable specification and quality at competitive prices, exceeding targeted profits and return on investment.
- Develop and nurture inbound leads through marketing channels, arranging customer appointments and purchasing vehicles effectively.
- Respond promptly to the vehicle purchasing needs of dealerships and sales managers, ensuring a steady supply of vehicles for resale.
- Manage vehicle stock meticulously, facilitating swift transfer to recipient dealerships within the group.
- Maintain accurate and complete administrative records related to suppliers, dealerships, costs, and expenses associated with purchased vehicles.
- Collaborate with Sales Managers in marketing initiatives, leveraging synergies and available inventory.
- Cultivate strong relationships with manufacturers, hire and fleet customers, auction houses, and vehicle disposal agencies.
- Provide weekly reports on agreed performance criteria, comparing actual results with targeted performance indicators.
- Uphold and enhance the company's reputation through professional interactions with customers and third parties.
The ideal candidate possesses:
- Detailed knowledge and experience within the automotive industry, particularly market pricing and up-to-date vehicle legislation and trade practices.
- Thorough understanding of the used car and commercial vehicle marketplace, including valuation of models, specifications, and options.
- Proven ability to negotiate and purchase vehicles at effective discounted prices.
- Strong interpersonal skills for building and maintaining relationships with dealerships, customers, and third parties.
- A self-motivated and tenacious approach with the ability to manage your own time effectively.
- A passion for providing exceptional customer service with a can-do attitude.
- A commitment to achieving goals/targets through confidence, determination, and creativity while adhering to company values (Positive, Supportive, Integrity).
A full UK driving license is essential for this position.
