Lead Commissioning Engineer

Overview: NRL Recruitment is seeking a Lead Commissioning Engineer to join a prominent client in the nuclear sector on a permanent basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the activities of Commissioning technicians under your supervision.
- Ensure compliance with the established Commissioning Quality Management System, guaranteeing that team members adhere to relevant procedures, codes, and standards during commissioning tasks.
- Collaborate with the Client team and various project disciplines, including Design Engineering, Training, Procurement, Quality Assurance, Construction, Operations, and Maintenance.
- Provide functional contributions to Commissioning Deliverables.
- Monitor and report on daily progress.
- Assist in the creation and verification of Commissioning Documentation, such as Test Documentation and Commissioning Reports.
- Support the Commissioning Team Leader in identifying Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) requirements, including the approval of vendor test documentation and witnessing vendor testing.
- Responsible for the generation and verification of Commissioning Test Documentation.
- Conduct Risk Assessments and develop Safe Systems of Work.
- Ensure timely execution of commissioning tests as per schedule.
- Maintain accurate records of all commissioning execution results and manage all raw data related to the tests performed.
- Compile and review Commissioning LTQR packages.
- Plan daily commissioning execution activities.
Qualifications:
- Preferred HNC qualification, although relevant commissioning experience may be accepted in lieu.
- Possession of valid CSCS/ECS Affiliated cards in the specific discipline.
- Experience in Electrical & Instrumentation and Control Systems commissioning.
- Background in the nuclear industry with prior site experience.
- Familiarity with Siemens S7, Simocode, WinCC, Profibus, and PICS software packages.
- For Electrical Commissioning Engineers, knowledge of the 18th Edition IEE Regulations is required.
