Position Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join the Starfyn Recruitment team as Special Needs Support Assistants. This role is a long-term, full-time opportunity that allows you to make a significant impact in the lives of students with diverse needs.

Role Responsibilities

The successful candidates will work within an educational environment that supports students aged 3 to 19 years, focusing on those with complex learning challenges and serious health conditions. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing assistance to students before, during, and after lessons.
  • Encouraging a passion for learning among students.
  • Supporting individual needs, which may involve medical and personal care tasks (training will be provided).
  • Engaging with children who have a variety of additional learning requirements.
  • Assisting with personal care needs, including feeding and manual handling (training will be provided).
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • Experience working in educational settings or with individuals with special needs, either personally or professionally.
  • Good foundational knowledge in English and Maths.
  • Preferred qualifications include Level 2 Teaching Assistant or higher, though this is not mandatory.
Working Environment

Employment Details
