Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled M&E Engineer to join our team at CPR, providing essential building services support. Working under the general direction of our Building Services manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our facilities' infrastructure and life safety systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspections & Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire safety equipment, and general building fabric.
  • Log Maintenance: Maintain detailed logs for review by our Facilities Management and Health & Safety teams; escalate any concerns immediately.
  • PPM & Reactive Maintenance: Execute routines unsupervised, focusing on PPMs for electrical systems and mechanical plant.
  • System Monitoring & Fault-Finding:
    • BMS System: Regular monitoring and troubleshooting.
    • DALI Lighting: Fault-finding, lamping, and changing drivers.
    • Emergency Lighting: Perform checks and tests to ensure compliance.
    • Air Conditioning: Service air handling units and fan coil units, including filter changes and cleaning.
    • Chillers: Perform resets as required to maintain optimal performance.
    • L8 Compliance: Conduct temperature checks and TMV adjustments to ensure compliance.
    • Plumbing: Handle small repairs and unblock toilets to maintain a clean and safe environment.
    • Fire Alarm: Conduct regular checks and tests to ensure system integrity.
    • Pumps & Motors: Maintenance and repair tasks to ensure continuous operation.
    • UPS Systems & Generators: Ensure continuous power supply and functionality.
    • Power Distribution: Maintenance of distribution systems to prevent power outages.
    • Boilers, PAT Testing, Calorifiers, Sprinklers: Regular checks and maintenance tasks to ensure system integrity.
    • General Building Fabric: Perform maintenance to uphold building integrity and prevent damage.
    • Logbooks & Flushings: Complete all necessary logbooks and flushing tasks to maintain accurate records.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in building services.
  • Qualifications: City & Guilds in a trade, with a Level 3 qualification in electrical or mechanical/HVAC systems.
