Position Overview: The Dietary Specialist plays a crucial role in evaluating the nutritional eligibility of clients and recommending suitable food packages. This position requires a comprehensive assessment of nutritional health through various methodologies, establishing dietary objectives, offering guidance to patients, and facilitating referrals as needed.
- Completion of necessary training to achieve Certification as a Competent Professional Authority (CPA) within the first six months of employment
- Fundamental understanding of nutrition and dietary guidelines
- Capability to conduct interviews, analyze data, and communicate proficiently
- Experience in patient education and effective communication
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Capacity to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team
- Experience in managing multiple tasks and prioritizing responsibilities
- Proficiency in utilizing computer systems
Additional Qualifications:
- Preferred background in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related disciplines through training, work experience, or coursework
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is advantageous
- Experience in collecting blood samples, measuring, and weighing individuals
