Role Overview: As a CCTV Operations Specialist, you will be the primary communication link during emergencies and will oversee the monitoring of safety systems across various locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct systematic monitoring of CCTV to safeguard the public, staff, and contractors.
  • Manage communications through the FM Radio System.
  • Oversee all life safety systems, including fire alarms and intruder detection.
  • Initiate emergency protocols as dictated by safety systems, including evacuations and search operations.
  • Handle inquiries via intercom and telephone with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Control access to sensitive areas, including loading zones and control suites.
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents and activities in the occurrence log.
  • Supervise contractor activities on-site.
  • Ensure a secure shopping environment through vigilant observation.
  • Manage traffic flow within parking areas to minimize congestion.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Perform site patrols as required.
  • Complete first aid training as necessary.
  • Engage in manual handling tasks, ensuring loads do not exceed 20Kgs.

Qualifications & Experience:

Essential:

  • GCSE or NVQ level 3 education.
  • Valid SIA Public Space Surveillance Licence.
  • First Aid at Work Certificate.
  • SIA Guarding or Door Supervisors licence.

Desirable:

  • IOSH Managing Safely certification.
  • Experience in a control room setting.
  • Ability to communicate effectively over radio systems.

  • Strong relationship management skills to collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proven ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Adaptability and flexibility in approach to tasks.
  • Attention to detail and strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong multitasking capabilities.
