Job Description

Marine Resources is seeking a highly skilled Marine Engineer to join their team as part of their ongoing development plan. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation and commissioning of machinery and equipment within superyacht tenders, as well as the plumbing of systems, running and terminating of electrical looms, and installation and setup of electronics.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Installation and Commissioning: Install and commission machinery and equipment within superyacht tenders, ensuring high standards of quality and safety.
  2. Electrical and Mechanical Systems: Run and terminate electrical looms, install and setup electronics, including CANbus control systems and NMEA networks.
  3. Problem Solving and Fault Diagnosis: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with machinery and equipment.
  4. Project Management: Lead projects, planning work on vessels, checking information and stock, planning and meeting timescales.
  5. Custom Fabrication: Fabricate custom parts and plumbing components using machine tools and TIG welding.
Requirements:
  1. Experience: Proven experience in new build marine engineering, both mechanical and electrical.
  2. Qualifications: Marine engineering qualifications a benefit.
  3. Technical Skills: Experience of electronic injection marine diesel engines and drive installs, CANbus distribution systems, and marine navigation equipment.
  4. Working Style: Ability to work to a high standard, within set timescales, and independently on a vessel engineering project.
Benefits:
  1. Salary: £15-£21 per hour dependent on experience.
  2. Holiday Entitlement: 20 days paid holiday per year, plus bank holidays.
  3. Working Pattern: Monday - Thursday, 10 hours each day.
  4. Pension and Insurance: Attractive company pension from 3 months, company life insurance and critical illness insurance from 6 months.
