Enhanced Learning Provision (ELP) Assistant

Academics is seeking a dedicated and compassionate EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our team at a new Enhanced Learning Provision (ELP) for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the development of our ELP and making a positive impact on the lives of young children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with teachers to deliver tailored learning programs for students with ASD.
  • Provide individualized support to students, promoting engagement and understanding of the curriculum.
  • Contribute to creating a supportive and inclusive environment for all children, fostering their social and emotional development.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students.
  • Support the implementation of behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children, preferably in a primary school setting.
  • Understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder and related educational strategies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support children with additional needs.
