Job Introduction

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Recovery Worker to join our team at Turning Point. As a Recovery Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with mental health needs to achieve their recovery goals.

About the Role

As a Recovery Worker, you will be responsible for providing personalized support to individuals in their own homes or community locations. You will work closely with service users to develop and implement recovery-focused support plans, promoting independence, resilience, and aspirations.

You will also provide emotional and practical support to carers, including breaks and respite care. Our service is designed to complement existing respite services, providing timely, creative, and flexible support to meet the identified needs of carers and service users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage your own caseload, providing personalized support to individuals with mental health needs
  • Develop and implement recovery-focused support plans, promoting independence, resilience, and aspirations
  • Provide emotional and practical support to carers, including breaks and respite care
  • Work collaboratively with service users, carers, and other professionals to achieve recovery goals
  • Contribute to the development of the service, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes as needed
Requirements

We are looking for a motivated and compassionate individual with experience working in mental health, ideally in an outreach setting. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with service users, carers, and other professionals.

You will also have a full driving license with business insurance, as you will be required to transport service users and/or carers. Mileage is paid at 45p per mile.
