Job Introduction

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Recovery Worker to join our team at Turning Point. As a Recovery Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with mental health needs to achieve their recovery goals.

About the Role

As a Recovery Worker, you will be responsible for providing personalized support to individuals in their own homes or community locations. You will work closely with service users to develop and implement recovery-focused support plans, promoting independence, resilience, and aspirations.

You will also provide emotional and practical support to carers, including breaks and respite care. Our service is designed to complement existing respite services, providing carers with a regular short break from their caring role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement recovery-focused support plans with service users
  • Provide emotional and practical support to carers, including breaks and respite care
  • Work with service users to identify specific pieces of work that will build their independence, resilience, and aspirations
  • Provide support to resolve real-life problems, such as housing, finance, and debt issues
  • Work with individuals with young onset dementia to support them to remain active and maintain their current level of independence
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with experience working in mental health, ideally in an outreach setting. You will be required to manage your own case load and work independently, with the support of a team.

Full training will be provided, and we welcome applications from candidates without previous experience.
