Position Overview

We are collaborating with a commodity trading organization that has recently established an XVA desk. They are seeking to recruit an XVA Trader to contribute to the growth and development of this desk in London.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver pricing and trading support to the XVA desk, including XVA pricing for the commodity trading desk, focusing on pre-trade activities in Energy, Oil, and Metals.
  • Assist in the foundational development of tools and infrastructure for the desk, progressing towards a trading role.
  • Price upfront charges related to trade activities across various XVAs for Marketing, providing insights into the underlying drivers.
  • Support the calibration of credit curves, volatility surfaces, and other parameters in accordance with market data and established policies.
  • Facilitate risk management efforts across credit, commodities, rates, and foreign exchange.
  • This role reports directly to the Executive Director of XVA Trading.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 2-7 years of experience in trading, risk management, or credit roles within an XVA or CPM team.
  • Proficient in Excel and VBA; familiarity with Python is a plus.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of competency in quantitative analysis.
  • Fundamental understanding of derivatives; experience in commodities is advantageous.
  • Ability to adapt, solve problems, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be located in the UK with the right to work.
