About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fire Service Instructor to join our team at the Fire Service College. As a Fire Service Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training to new recruits in both classroom and practical environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver training programs for new recruits in firefighting techniques and procedures
  • Assess and evaluate the performance of trainees
  • Act as Safety Officer during live fire exercises
  • Develop and maintain Health and Safety culture

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in training new recruits in a firefighting environment
  • Experience working in a local authority Fire & Rescue Service is desirable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic understanding of IT systems and experience with MS Office
