About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist to join our team at Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust. As a key member of our Women's and Children's Directorate, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical services to patients across south east London and Kent.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Provide clinical services across south east London and Kent, including outpatient and inpatient care
- Expand our activity across Kent, working closely with the Clinical Director to develop and implement new services
- Participate in the obstetric duty rota, providing emergency cover and contributing to the development of our obstetric services
- Supervise and train junior medical staff, midwives, and nurses, and contribute to the development of our training programs
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will have:
- Full GMC registration and MRCOG or equivalent qualifications
- CCT or equivalent, or within six months of obtaining CCST
- Experience in general obstetrics and gynaecology, including clinical risk management, audit, and research
- Management and administrative experience, including evidence of supervising junior medical staff and teaching and training junior medical staff and midwives/nurses
