About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Financial Controls Manager to join our team. As a key member of our finance function, you will be responsible for designing and implementing financial controls, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our financial reporting, and identifying and mitigating financial risks.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial controls, risk management, and audit, with experience in implementing and monitoring financial controls in a large and complex organization. You will be a strategic thinker with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work effectively with senior stakeholders and teams across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement financial controls to ensure the accuracy and reliability of our financial reporting
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks, including operational, compliance, and reputational risks
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive financial controls framework, including policies, procedures, and standards
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Provide training and guidance to finance and non-finance teams on financial controls and risk management
  • Develop and maintain a risk register, including identification, assessment, and mitigation of financial risks

Requirements:

  • 7 years of post-qualified experience in financial controls, risk management, or audit
  • Experience in implementing and monitoring financial controls in a large and complex organization
  • Strong background in financial reporting, accounting, and financial analysis
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders and teams
  • Assurance qualification (CIA/CMIIA or equivalent)
