Company Overview:

Logical Personnel Solutions is representing a prominent valve maintenance organization.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Valve or Senior Valve Technician to join our team in the Aberdeen area (AB12).

Key Qualifications:

  • Completion of an apprenticeship in a relevant field, along with a minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience, or an HNC/NVQ in a related discipline.
  • Proficient in the repair of various types of valves, particularly Control, Relief, and Isolation Valves, as well as actuation systems, whether pneumatic or hydraulic. Training in control valve systems can be provided for those with experience in safety, isolation, and relief valves.
  • Knowledgeable in valve instrumentation, including Pneumatic and Electronic (DVC) systems and associated components, with full training available.
  • Familiarity with the tools and equipment necessary for daily valve repair tasks.
  • A valid driving license is required, as on-site maintenance duties will be part of the role.
  • Strong technical writing and specification interpretation skills.
  • Experience in a service-focused work environment.
  • Capable of resolving service-related challenges effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Work within a workshop setting, both in-house and at client locations, to disassemble and identify any damage that needs to be reported to the Workshop Lead.
  • Complete all necessary in-house and client-specific repair documentation as required.
  • Perform the disassembly, inspection, testing, assembly, and commissioning of repaired or new valves according to the standards and specifications outlined in relevant documentation.
  • Conduct testing of valves to meet required standards or specific client testing criteria.
  • Ensure compliance with inspection points and hold points, as required by third-party verification processes.

Position Details:

  • This is a permanent position.
  • Standard working hours are 37.5 hours per week, with opportunities for overtime.
  • All work is conducted onshore.
