Company Overview:

Logical Personnel Solutions is collaborating with a prominent valve maintenance organization.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Valve or Senior Valve Technician to join our team in the Aberdeen area (AB12).

Key Qualifications:

  • Completion of an apprenticeship in a relevant field, along with a minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience is preferred, or an HNC/NVQ in a related discipline.
  • Proficient in the repair of various types of valves, particularly Control, Relief, and Isolation Valves, as well as actuation systems, whether pneumatic or hydraulic. Training for control valves can be provided for those with experience in safety, isolation, and relief valves.
  • Familiarity with a wide range of valve instrumentation, including Pneumatic/Electronic (DVC) and associated accessories. Comprehensive training will be available.
  • Knowledge of the tools and equipment necessary for performing daily valve repair tasks.
  • A valid driving license is required, as on-site maintenance duties will be part of the role.
  • Strong technical writing and specification interpretation skills.
  • Experience in a service-oriented environment.
  • Ability to effectively troubleshoot service-related challenges.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate within a workshop setting, both in-house and at client locations, to disassemble and identify any damage, reporting findings to the Workshop Lead.
  • Complete necessary in-house and client-specific repair documentation as required.
  • Conduct the disassembly, inspection, testing, assembly, and commissioning of repaired or new valves according to the standards and specifications outlined in relevant supporting documents.
  • Perform testing of valves to meet required standards or specific client testing requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to necessary hold points and inspection points, as verification by third-party signatories is required.

Position Details:

  • This is a permanent position.
  • The role involves 37.5 hours per week, with opportunities for overtime.
  • All work is conducted onshore.
