About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Work Area Manager to join our team at Royal Mail. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing a dedicated team of up to 15 employees and ensuring the smooth operation of our mail centre.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of employees to maximise performance and achieve operational targets
- Champion health and safety initiatives and identify areas for improvement
- Support the Shift Manager in providing a high-quality service to customers
- Manage and lead a large team to maximise performance
- People skills - good communication skills, able to engage and motivate team members
- Target driven with a track record of improving performance and achieving KPIs
- Experience of introducing change/improvements and successfully leading people through change
- Data analysis and problem solving - ability to use data to identify trends in performance and develop solutions
- Relationships - able to build effective working relationships with stakeholders
Requirements
- Experience of managing and leading a large team
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Target driven with a track record of improving performance
- Experience of introducing change/improvements and successfully leading people through change
- Data analysis and problem solving skills
