Lead a Global Team of Procurement Professionals
As our Global Director- Internal Manufacturing Procurement, you will lead and manage a team of 4-8 procurement professionals specializing in strategic sourcing for Raw Materials, Packaging, and Consumables categories. Your mission is to ensure alignment with Elanco's business objectives by driving cost reduction initiatives, improving quality, and managing procurement risks.
Drive Continuous Improvement and Cost Optimization
You will be responsible for implementing continuous improvement initiatives across all procurement activities. This includes actively seeking and implementing cost reduction and avoidance opportunities through market insights and strategic supplier partnerships.
Develop and Execute Sourcing Strategies
Develop comprehensive sourcing strategies and options to enhance efficiency, mitigate risks, and achieve cost savings. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to secure approval and execute plans effectively.
Foster Strong Supplier Relationships and Innovation
Oversee the management of contractual agreements with key suppliers to ensure robust commercial relationships. Map risks and opportunities while fostering strong partnerships with internal stakeholders, including strategy, engineering, and site teams, to drive innovation and operational excellence.
Analyze Market Trends and Lead Negotiations
Conduct market analysis and maintain a deep understanding of the supply base to identify potential sourcing solutions. Oversee the preparation and execution of RFIs, RFPs, and tender projects. Prepare your team members to lead complex negotiations for products and services to optimize value and terms.
