UK POS is seeking a skilled Production Manager to oversee manufacturing processes and ensure efficiency in our production operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and drive business growth.
- Implement quality control procedures to maintain high standards of production and minimize defects.
- Utilize enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, such as Sage, for inventory management and tracking.
- Coordinate with suppliers and logistics partners to ensure timely delivery of materials and optimize supply chain efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve overall manufacturing efficiency.
- Streamline business processes to optimize production efficiency and reduce costs.
- Apply manufacturing knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proficiency in quality control methodologies and statistical process control.
- Experience with ERP systems, such as Sage, and inventory management software.
- Ability to understand manufacturing machinery and equipment, as needed.
- Understanding of supply chain principles and logistics management.
- Strong background in continuous improvement practices and lean manufacturing.
- Knowledge of business processes related to manufacturing operations, including production planning and control.
- Manufacturing knowledge for equipment troubleshooting and maintenance.
Working Conditions
- Full-time, permanent position.
- 8-hour shift, day shift, Monday to Friday.
- No weekends or overtime required.
