Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage a team of practitioners to deliver evidence-based early interventions for children and young people.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to further develop MHSTs, focusing on building partnerships with education settings and driving highly effective and CYPF-focused mental health and wellbeing services.
- Manage, supervise, and innovate with practitioners in the service, ensuring high-quality delivery and continuous improvement.
- Develop and maintain relationships with education settings, statutory services, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Contribute to the development of the MHST service, including identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance service quality.
Compass Birmingham MHST (Wave 12) is a new early intervention and preventative mental health and emotional wellbeing service. We deliver evidenced-based interventions for children and young people with mild to moderate mental health needs.
Person Specification- Relevant degree (e.g., social work, psychology, psychotherapy, nursing) or equivalent.
- Experience of team management and/or leadership roles.
- Knowledge and understanding of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and its application in a mental health setting.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team, including provision of clinical/practice leadership.
- Experience of working with children and young people with mild to moderate complex mental health needs.
- Ability to establish effective relationships with a range of stakeholders, including education settings, statutory services, and other professionals.
- Ability to provide supervision and support to practitioners.
- IT skills and ability to work with various software systems.
- Multi-agency/disciplinary working and ability to influence others.
- Ability to analyse, evaluate, and rationalise data to inform service development and delivery.
