Job Title: Strategic Plant Operator/Fitter

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Plant Operator/Fitter to join our team at Colas Rail UK. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our plant and equipment, ensuring that our services are delivered to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain the Colas Rail Kirow Crane, Track Relaying Machines, and other plant equipment in accordance with Railway Standards and Manufacturers' Procedures.
  • Conduct daily and weekly safety checks, and report any issues or concerns to the Planning and Maintenance Team Leaders.
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of plant equipment, and ensure that all work is carried out to the highest standards.
  • Work safely and efficiently, with a focus on delivering high-quality results and meeting customer expectations.
  • Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure seamless delivery of services.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in plant operation and maintenance, with a strong understanding of Railway Standards and Manufacturers' Procedures.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work safely and efficiently, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Valid UK driving license and ability to travel as required.
  • Flexibility to work a shift pattern that includes days, nights, and weekends.
