Job Title: Mental Health Nurse

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Nurse to join our team at Easteden Ltd. As a Mental Health Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient-centered care to individuals with physical disability and mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management:
    • Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
    • Provide guidance and support to nursing staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
    • Ensure that all staff members are aware of and adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Care Delivery:
    • Assess and evaluate the needs of patients and develop individualized care plans.
    • Deliver high-quality patient care that meets the standards of the Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority.
    • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care plans and make adjustments as needed.
  • Communication and Collaboration:
    • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care delivery.
    • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that patient needs are met.
    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Professional Development:
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in mental health care and best practices.
    • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
    • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote high-quality patient care.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse on the live NMC Register.
  • Ability to manage a team and lead and motivate staff.
  • Excellent level of English language demonstrated through effective communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and excellent understanding of care for physical disability and mental health conditions.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority, the Nursing Homes Legislation and Minimum Standards.
  • Planning and organisation skills.
  • Competent interpersonal skills.
  • Able to manage difficult situations effectively.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to implement effective time management for self and others.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Previous experience working in the physical disability and mental health setting.
  • Teaching and/or mentorship skills.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Research or Audit experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to £22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week

Work Location: In person
